We are Paul and Julie Rola, a couple, who has become more involved and
vocal about politics and social issues because of changes we have seen take
place in governmental policy since 2001.

We tend to be liberal leaning, though we call it progressive. We are definitely
environmentalists as you might have detected from the logo. We are not
opposed to all things conservative; and frankly wish all these narrow and
name-calling labels would disappear from our social discourse. We would
prefer that all Americans recognize we all have differing opinions, but we are
more alike than different in our needs, desires and dreams. Julie and I believe
in freedom of speech, but more than that; we believe we all should have the
right to be heard and respectfully considered. Only through broader and
mutual understanding can differences be resolved amicably.

Through this website we will try to offer opinions and points of view to issues
not normally covered in the mainstream press or on TV. Or maybe it will just be
A Different Slant from the way it was covered in the mainstream media.

Our hope is that you may be inspired to act as a result of what you read.
Maybe that means you vote, regardless of party. Maybe it simply means you
have a better understanding of what is going in the head of that guy on the
"other side". Maybe that means you grab your banner and march, or run for
Congress, or volunteer to give blood. All of these things are needed, All of us
need to be more involved. We all need to be heard! We all have something to
offer!
